This recently happenes to my friend
Background info:
Our sucky curfew is at 6 pm . (It is INHUMANE. but rules are rules, and rules are NOT meant to be broken if they hold your lives in their hands. so it's a dead end situation for us.)
My friend, lets call her X, asked for permission to come back late as she wanted to meet her friends who stay in another faraway place.
Loco parents 2 approved her request, extend the curfew for her to 8 pm.
So she went back to our House Of Sufferings, Torture, Eternal Lamentation slightly before 8pm.
Loco parents 1 (LP1) was there. He scolded my friend.
LP1: why you come back late? are you making your own rules?! scold scold scold some more.
X: But I got permission already from LP2!
LP1: Dont bring LP2 into this matter! scold scold scold.
apparently, LP2 did not tell LP1 that my friend already asked for permission before.
My friend X received a very urgent nature call, so she tried to put that call on hold by fidgeting, while LP1 continues to scold nonchalantly.
LP1 got extremely irritated., maybe because normal people will at least pretend to bow, look remorseful and regretful when get scolded.
LP1: (SUPER ANGRY) why you continue to move?! very irritating, you know!!!
X: I need to pee, very urgently.
In fact, she denied the urge to go to the restroom before travelling back so that she could come back on time.
LP1 fortunately released her, otherwise she might lose control and wet the floor.
Moral of the story: be careful when dealing with loco parents, and find excuses to escape ASAP.
Or else, you risk accumulating at least 5 kilograms of earwax afterwards.

Loco Parents
According to Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English,
Loco (American English): crazy
Parent (noun): the father or mother of a person or animal
In Loco Parentis: having the responsibilities of a parent for someone else's child
My loco parents are NOT my real parents. I have real parents, but they are very far far away from me. So instead, I have loco parents, on behalf of my real parents, and they continue to supress, depress, and stress me out.that sucks. really.
It is a well known fact that teenagers quarrel with their parents. And so do i, especially with my loco parents. But i dont always throw comments within their range of hearing, for I fear for my life. Because you know, real parents wont kill their child. But loco parents, who knows?
Anyway, they killed me already, although not physically.
Hm... why I was upset again? Because basically, they are loco. and they intend to drive me crazy, too. And they are super annoying and irritating, forgive my manners please. Unfortunately, they have authority over me. they can control the situation to make me happy or to drive me mad. And the former hardly ever happen. the latter is always the case, although the former one is the one that they intendedly and convincingly show to the rest of the world. wicked. cunning.
Loco parents restrict our movements to a very great extent.
Loco parents do not allow me to shower at 8 pm. Nor can i sing.
Loco parents do not tolerate BGR. Any couples caught will receive serious reprimand.
Loco parents scolded me when i was late in giving my temperature, threatening me to get my ass of the place, accusing me of unwillingness to abide by the rules and their rules implied that i cant talk to any single person until i had given loco parents my temperature.
Loco parents closely monitor our whereabouts constantly. They want to know where am i going, what am i doing, with whom i am talking to. To find a reason to scold. find my mistake and scrutinise every inch of my life, and shove those things down my throat and up my ass. and i dont think i am the sole victim here.
One day i complained to my loco parents that the air conditioner (that I paid for monthly, that is controlled on-off, temperature solely by loco parents and them only, which only turned on about 3.5 hours a day) in my room is not cold/ not working properly.
My intention: to ask them to fix my air con, or at least call the technicians.
Then my loco parents blamed me for NEVER cleaning my room.
It is implied that i am lazy and unhygienic snob, who does not deserve a cold, properly working aircon. Loco parents assume that there are thick piles of dust in my room. The dust therefore fly high into the ceiling, being absorbed by the air-con, thus spoiling the machine. So it is my fault, after all. So they think they don't need to fix it, or they will fix it if they feel like it.
But of course, I must continue my monthly payment, no reduced amount whatsoever.
If their accusation of my extreme laziness and unhygienicness is true, by now, i should have been dead from pneumonia, or blocked-breathing-passage related disease. or, at least, my friends should have been forced to swim around sea of dust and dirt if one should go inside my room.
in fact, the accusations made by loco parents are wrong.
i clean my room frequently, although not daily.
there are dust particles in my room, for sure, but the amount is not YET enough to cover the entire floor. and surely not big enough to choke my air con. if my air con is really choked by dust bunnies, an error message should appear. that what computerised machines are for. and that's what human brains are for. to think, to sympathise, to take action if machines failed, because basically, human brain is more superior than any machines in the world. So, if my air-con machine failed, i hope that any human with brain and capability would want to fix my air-con.
But apparently, loco parents do not have any properly functioning brain. So, their brain should get fixed first before fixing my aircon. But, the latter is much more easier than the first.
Yet, my loco parents come up with more ridiculous reasons.
Firstly, it was said that the weather outside is too hot. Therefore, it affects the temperature inside the room. because outside is hot, inside must follow suit. Then, what's the point of having air con in the first place? Air conditioner, supposedly able to regulate the temperature of the room. if it cannot make the room cold just because outside temperature is hot,i might as well open the window and turn on the fan,feeling the 'warmth' of outside heat caressing my skin. huh.
Loco parents hasn't run out of excuses. I just give you one more, ok? this is riddonkkullouszs. Loco parents said that the reason that the air-con is not cold is because.....IM TOO FAT!!!
yes. I am too fat so that i cannot feel the coolness of the air. So, loco parents denied that my air-con is not working. It's just me, my fault of having fats covering my bones. So, maybe if I starve myself to the point of I no longer having any body fat, maybe my air-con will work. Nice argument. Really really smart. Clap clap.
Loco parents gave me these excuses in their fully & properly air conditioned room, not just some room with air con turned on but not cold. I mean the room that they "WORK" in is cold, because of their air-con really works. I wonder if they ever have forced to stay in a room without an air-con or with an air-con which does not work properly. I bet they never.
Loco parents looked at the monitoring panel, and see nothing wrong with that. I said that the problem is on the air con machine itself, not the programming. Therefore, I think it is useless to stare at the panel. Loco parents just dismissed what i said and repeat those excuses aforementioned. Therefore i need to find another, more convincing excuses to beat them. But at that time, I was forced to accept those stupid excuses and nod. SIGH.
On the bright side, i am super very very grateful that loco parents are not my real parents. otherwise, i wish i could runaway from home since i was born.

Retaliation: action against someone who has done something bad to you.
So. Retaliation means revenge. And Revenge is sweet. Depends on who tastes it.
Retaliation happens everywhere. Its presence is undeniable and its process is inevitable.
It happens even in the smallest particles, atoms and molecules.
In chemistry, we studied Le Chatelier's principle, which states that if a change is madeto a system in equilibrium, the system reacts in such a way as to tend to oppose the change.The system counteracts the effect of the change.So in other words, the system retaliate against changes.And it achieves a new equilibrium.
The principle of retaliation also appears in physics, as described in Newton's 3rd law.For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.For example, if you exert force against a wall by pushing it, the wall will exert an equal forcein opposite direction, against you. this becomes more obvious if you are standing on a skateboard/trolleyYou will be pushed back. The wall retaliates against you.
And then, some people believe in karma. They say, what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down. That is, if you do something bad to others, you will someday be a victim too. Also, if you do something good, sometime, somehow, you will receive the payback. It can be said the "system" retaliate against you. You do good, it does good back to you. vice versa.
The process of retaliation can also be observed in the economic world. For every policies adopted by policy makers in a certain countries, they have to really consider the possibility of retaliation from other countries and the extent of damage posed by retaliation policies.
For example, in a modern, globalisedera, a free trade system may fail in giving the expected benefits if one country impose a protectionism measure,i.e. limiting its import/ purchase of another countries' produced goods & services in order to boost domestic sale, thus benefiting local producers. This can be achieved by giving subsidy to local producers to lower their cost of production or impose tax or quota measure to imported goods, so that the overall effect is thatdomestic goods gain competitive advantage in price compared to imported goods, hence stimulate consumers to buy locally produced goods.The implementation of such policies may lead to retaliation from other countries, probably by imposing similar measures, maybe in bigger scale (bigger subsidy or bigger tax for imported goods), which may lead to price war.
In the end, though, everybody loses out. The government needs to fork out a lot of money to fund the enormous amount of subsidy given to local producers, producers and consumers confused out by price uncertainty and instability, principle of comparative advantage no longer apply to give maximum benefit, and so on. And ta daa... economic war. price war. global economy is screwed up. argh.
And speaking of war, there are obvious examples in the world nowadays. Countries wage war against each other. Cold wars, Hot wars, "Just" wars, "Holy" wars. cyber war, technological war.

Civil war, racial riots. in many countries. Genocides. the holocaust. The Nazi exterminated the Jews in Germany underHitler's regime. The Hutu vs the Tutsi in Rwanda. The Sinhalese vs the Tamil Tigers in sri Lanka. and many many more.
In the Middle East, continuous ongoing wars. The Israelites vs the Palestinian. The war in Afghanistan,Iran , Kuwait and Iraq. Plus the US vs Iraq war, which is actually rather like personal war between Saddam Hussein vs George W. Bush, both very proud personas, but involving enormous "collateral damages".
Then despite all the chaos, there are some who want to add chaos. There are jihadis radical groups that really hate Americans. All Americans plus the Caucasians, Europeans. and the Australians and New Zealanders, as long as they are white. Then theydistort the teachings of their religion to justify their needs for war, explosion and bloodshed.They think: "Americans declare war against my country and make my people suffer, so we also declare war against them,by hijacking airplanes and crash them into office buildings, or by recruiting and radicalising (brainwashing) youths as suicide bombers, so that we show them that we can also make their people suffer. HAH! They bomb hotels, restaurants, Bali, Mumbai, trains in England, Madrid, and many many more. But then, do they realise, that because of their foolish act, a lot of their people, of their very race and religion, spread out in many countries, face prejudice and discrimination?Do they realise that they themselves make people suffer? They make their religion seems so bad in the world's eyes?Bravo, I say. Very wise of them. scoff.
And what's more, oh, nuclear war. It's cool, nuclear science. He build nuclear, I also build nuclear. Stronger ones, you see. They send people to moon, I also send people to moon. Spend lots of money to buy rocket, buy fuel, buy suits and other equipments, despite millions of people in my country die everyday due to starvation, poor hygiene, lack of access to clean water, poor healthcare, and so on. Great, I say. Commendable policy. what a show off. And North Korea, trying to show who got power here. Make missiles, fire missiles, test here and there, now and then. Fireworks. Childplay. You know, those who play with fire risked themselves of getting burnt.
And furthermore, in the cyber world, people mock one another, scam here and there, steal your money, throw nasty comments, put false,misleading information, cybercrime, sex predators, cyber bullying, post scandalous photos, create some public uproars, yada yada.
This world nowadays. Is just full of ****. (fill in yourself). sigh.
SO. Some people pointed out that everyone is the loser in war. If so, why people still going to war? Because of greed,there is one. Another reason, pride and glory. yeah. and then, the need to retaliate, even if you dont really need it. Why? paranoia, some may say. But I think it is more because of insecurity. Admit it, we all have some insecurities, deep inside ourheart and mind. And those insecurities make us feel offended when we actually don't need to be, and once you feel offended,you get hurt, irritated, and then you want, or you feel like you need to retaliate. You want vengeance. then you can feel good about yourself again. pretty complicated, huh, the psychology of human mind.
They say we have evolved from our long long time ago ancestors,the ancient first human civilisation where they say people have not really been civilised yet. They kill here, kill there,tribal war, fight here and there for niche, territory, women, slave, for this and that. And the vikings, the feared barbars who are basically cold blooded fighters, who enjoy wars and see blood poured out and bodies mutilated. and the pirates, kill here and there, fight for treasures.
Are we, the nowadays generation, really different from them, then? Do we still enjoy war? Do we still fight for greed, pride and glory? Are we happy to see our 'enemies' suffer, albeit they are also human beings like us?

Who is your enemies? EASY! A lot! the black, the different religions, the immigrants, the ugly betty, the nerdy geeky dork, the suspicious, scary looking man over there, can't stand how they look, the talkative old lady there, the annoying beggars, the people with Lamborghini here, he mustbe a corruptor, the woman who buys that envied designer bag that i constantly kept my eyes on, even the brother who got bigger inheritance than me. It's surprising that making enemies is sooo easy, especially with all that prejudice and stereotype inside our minds, the mindset of many, so many it is viewed as a 'norm'.
Anyway, back to retaliation.In the psychology of the 'awesome' human mind, the desire to retaliate is inevitably present. Simply put, a person who has been mistreated may bear a grudge, and possibly take revenge.However, the case in reality is more complicated and it depends on a lot more things, such asthe level of tolerance and the inherent personality, and also the situation.For example, if some thugs decided to attack you, there is a possibility that you will attack back,even though you are a very civilised, sensible man, and a law abiding citizen, especially if the attackers put the lives of your loved ones at risk.
However, in other case, a person may not carry out the desire to retaliate. For example, if a boss scolds his employee using inapproprate, very dirty words, rude and coarse languages, chances are the employee feels very badly hurt deep inside. He may or may not hate his boss (he may think that his boss was not thinking clearly at that time, possibly drunk or stressed up). But it is less likely thatthis employer will take revenge by torturing, killing, and/or mutilating the boss by using all thebloodiest means like the characters in psycho movies do.The reason: why? Some may say that it is because the boss possess a higher level of authority and theman actually fears him, but we should not overlook this part: Human beings have certain level of tolerance. And we are endowed with judgement, unlike the particles, atoms and molecules in chemistry, unlike the objects in physics, even unlike the animals. (try poking a dog, chances are it will growl, bark or bite you.) So, the employee may want to retaliate, but his judgement say it is inappropriate to kill somebody justbased on hatred alone. (if not, a lot of people may be dead already, if you catch my drift ;) )
Nevertheless, the innate desire to retaliate still persists in human minds.For example, teenagers tend to be more rebellious if their parents are exceedingly over protective, out of the desire to pursue freedom. Similarly, protesters in countries retaliate against an oppressive government. And then, a person who is consistently being bullied (especially since a very young age) over a long period of time may turns out to be a bully himself later on, or , develop a sense of bitterness towardslife, and society as a whole. (Recall the cases of Sweeney Todd and the Phantom of the Opera; the extraordinary ways that they employin order to retaliate to how society treated them beforehand. So people, be careful of how you treat people unlessyou want to be the target of vicious cold-blooded serial murderers ;) and remember the six merry murderesses from Chicago the movie, how ordinary women turn into extraordinary murderesses given the circumstances they are in. )
Although it is sometimes deemed wrong according to some religious/moral/ethic conducts to plot a revenge, (and some said we should forgive and forget, give the other cheek, yada yada), it is undeniably human's inherent nature to retaliate against his aggressors. It is the notion of survival. (and anyway, human is classified inside the kingdom animalia, so don't think it is impossible for civilised, modern men to still have some primal instincts in their minds.)
And system that favours stability will want to oppose changes, thus the retaliation process against any external influence. Moreover, the principle of retaliation may be vital in today's world heightened level of competition. I mean, people should adapt to changes, rather than standing still and watch what's happening around them, right?
So, retaliation is inevitable. and revenge is sweet. mmm...Thus, in the future, when people fight, the magic word applied may no longer be "sorry"it may be "retaliate". " fight back." *shiver*

Then despite all the chaos, there are some who want to add chaos. There are jihadis radical groups that really hate Americans. All Americans plus the Caucasians, Europeans. and the Australians and New Zealanders, as long as they are white. Then theydistort the teachings of their religion to justify their needs for war, explosion and bloodshed.They think: "Americans declare war against my country and make my people suffer, so we also declare war against them,by hijacking airplanes and crash them into office buildings, or by recruiting and radicalising (brainwashing) youths as suicide bombers, so that we show them that we can also make their people suffer. HAH! They bomb hotels, restaurants, Bali, Mumbai, trains in England, Madrid, and many many more. But then, do they realise, that because of their foolish act, a lot of their people, of their very race and religion, spread out in many countries, face prejudice and discrimination?Do they realise that they themselves make people suffer? They make their religion seems so bad in the world's eyes?Bravo, I say. Very wise of them. scoff.
And what's more, oh, nuclear war. It's cool, nuclear science. He build nuclear, I also build nuclear. Stronger ones, you see. They send people to moon, I also send people to moon. Spend lots of money to buy rocket, buy fuel, buy suits and other equipments, despite millions of people in my country die everyday due to starvation, poor hygiene, lack of access to clean water, poor healthcare, and so on. This world nowadays. Is just full of ****. (fill in yourself). sigh.
SO. Some people pointed out that everyone is the loser in war. If so, why people still going to war? Because of greed,there is one. Another reason, pride and glory. yeah. and then, the need to retaliate, even if you dont really need it. Why? paranoia, some may say. But I think it is more because of insecurity. Admit it, we all have some insecurities, deep inside ourheart and mind. And those insecurities make us feel offended when we actually don't need to be, and once you feel offended,you get hurt, irritated, and then you want, or you feel like you need to retaliate. You want vengeance. then you can feel good about yourself again. pretty complicated, huh, the psychology of human mind.
They say we have evolved from our long long time ago ancestors,the ancient first human civilisation where they say people have not really been civilised yet. They kill here, kill there,tribal war, fight here and there for niche, territory, women, slave, for this and that. And the vikings, the feared barbars who are basically cold blooded fighters, who enjoy wars and see blood poured out and bodies mutilated. and the pirates, kill here and there, fight for treasures.
Are we, the nowadays generation, really different from them, then? Do we still enjoy war? Do we still fight for greed, pride and glory? Are we happy to see our 'enemies' suffer, albeit they are also human beings like us?

WHo is your neighbours, then?um... let me think first. um... difficult question.
Who is your enemies? EASY! A lot! the black, the different religions, the immigrants, the ugly betty, the nerdy geeky dork, the suspicious, scary looking man over there, can't stand how they look, the talkative old lady there, the annoying beggars, the people with Lamborghini here, he mustbe a corruptor, the woman who buys that envied designer bag that i constantly kept my eyes on, even the brother who got bigger inheritance than me. It's surprising that making enemies is sooo easy, especially with all that prejudice and stereotype inside our minds, the mindset of many, so many it is viewed as a 'norm'.
Anyway, back to retaliation.In the psychology of the 'awesome' human mind, the desire to retaliate is inevitably present. Simply put, a person who has been mistreated may bear a grudge, and possibly take revenge.However, the case in reality is more complicated and it depends on a lot more things, such asthe level of tolerance and the inherent personality, and also the situation.For example, if some thugs decided to attack you, there is a possibility that you will attack back,even though you are a very civilised, sensible man, and a law abiding citizen, especially if the attackers put the lives of your loved ones at risk.
However, in other case, a person may not carry out the desire to retaliate. For example, if a boss scolds his employee using inapproprate, very dirty words, rude and coarse languages, chances are the employee feels very badly hurt deep inside. He may or may not hate his boss (he may think that his boss was not thinking clearly at that time, possibly drunk or stressed up). But it is less likely thatthis employer will take revenge by torturing, killing, and/or mutilating the boss by using all thebloodiest means like the characters in psycho movies do.The reason: why? Some may say that it is because the boss possess a higher level of authority and theman actually fears him, but we should not overlook this part: Human beings have certain level of tolerance. And we are endowed with judgement, unlike the particles, atoms and molecules in chemistry, unlike the objects in physics, even unlike the animals. (try poking a dog, chances are it will growl, bark or bite you.) So, the employee may want to retaliate, but his judgement say it is inappropriate to kill somebody justbased on hatred alone. (if not, a lot of people may be dead already, if you catch my drift ;) )
Nevertheless, the innate desire to retaliate still persists in human minds.For example, teenagers tend to be more rebellious if their parents are exceedingly over protective, out of the desire to pursue freedom. Similarly, protesters in countries retaliate against an oppressive government. And then, a person who is consistently being bullied (especially since a very young age) over a long period of time may turns out to be a bully himself later on, or , develop a sense of bitterness towardslife, and society as a whole. (Recall the cases of Sweeney Todd and the Phantom of the Opera; the extraordinary ways that they employin order to retaliate to how society treated them beforehand. So people, be careful of how you treat people unlessyou want to be the target of vicious cold-blooded serial murderers ;) and remember the six merry murderesses from Chicago the movie, how ordinary women turn into extraordinary murderesses given the circumstances they are in. )
Although it is sometimes deemed wrong according to some religious/moral/ethic conducts to plot a revenge, (and some said we should forgive and forget, give the other cheek, yada yada), it is undeniably human's inherent nature to retaliate against his aggressors. It is the notion of survival. (and anyway, human is classified inside the kingdom animalia, so don't think it is impossible for civilised, modern men to still have some primal instincts in their minds.)
And system that favours stability will want to oppose changes, thus the retaliation process against any external influence. Moreover, the principle of retaliation may be vital in today's world heightened level of competition. I mean, people should adapt to changes, rather than standing still and watch what's happening around them, right?
So, retaliation is inevitable. and revenge is sweet. mmm...Thus, in the future, when people fight, the magic word applied may no longer be "sorry"it may be "retaliate". " fight back." *shiver*
